Garden City Police Chief James Bensley retired in March after 32 years with the department with 14 years as Chief. "His legacy is that he really brought the Garden City Police Department to the point of being a highly respected professional organization that’s counted among the best in the state," said Garden City Mayor John Evans. Deputy Chief Rick Allen is serving as Interim Chief.

Dawn Stephens has been hired as a new Deputy City Clerk for the City of Kuna.

The Malad Cemetery Beautification Committee was reorganized recently. New members of the committee are Katherine Atkinson, Ron Fesler, Teresa Tubbs and Odell Rice.

The Orofino City Council appointed Chris Steiner and John Elliot to its Planning and Zoning Commission.

Susan Ash, Director of the Twin Falls Public Library retired on April 30 after 22 years of service to the Library.

Matt Gealta has been hired as a new Police Officer with the Twin Falls Police Department.

Detective Matthew Gonzales with the Twin Falls Police Department received his Advanced POST certification.

Officers Tyler Campbell and Tavita Messenger with the Twin Falls Police Department received their Basic POST certification.

Sergeants David Frick and Luke Allen with the Twin Falls Police Department received their Supervisor POST certification.

Twin Falls Police Sergeant Dave Frick’s patrol squad helped escort the historic I.B. Perrine Stagecoach to its new home at the new Twin Falls Visitor Center.
