2015 City Achievement Awards

Idaho city officials are creative, innovative, and solution oriented. The City Achievement Awards recognize the work of cities around Idaho that have implemented pioneering approaches to improve quality of life, address community challenges, and enhance service delivery in cost-effective ways. This year City Achievement Awards were given in seven categories: Capital Improvement, Community Development, Community Outreach, Parks & Recreation, Public Safety, Public Works, and Youth.

The winners for the Capital Improvement Category:

  • City of Pocatello New Animal Shelter and Adoption Center.

  • City of Emmett Public Library Expansion.

The winner for the Community Development Category:

  • City of Caldwell Getting Ready for Football.

The winners for the Community Outreach Category:

  • City of Meridian Historic Walking Tour.

  • City of Boise Energize our Neighborhoods.

  • City of Post Falls Suicide Prevention & Awareness Program.

The winners for the Parks & Recreation Category:

  • City of Idaho Falls River Gardens at Taylor’s Crossing.

  • City of Hayden Stoddard Park.

The winners for the Public Safety Category:

  • City of Sandpoint Joint Powers Agreement between Sandpoint and Sagle Fire District.

  • City of Coeur d’Alene Civilian Use of Force Review Board.

The winners for the Public Works Category:

  • City of Dover Source Water Protection Plan.

  • City of Kootenai Transportation Plan Update.

The winners for the Youth Category:

  • City of Jerome Syringa Wireless Community Skate Park.

  • City of Moscow Community Playfields.
