The City of Caldwell’s 15th annual Mayor’s Community Service Scholarship Golf Scramble took place on June 5. The Lewiston Fire Department has been awarded a $305,455 Assistance to Firefighters Grant from the Federal Emergency Management Agency. The funds will go toward the purchase of 48 self-contained breathing apparatuses, rapid intervention packs and face masks. The funds are the first that the department has received from the grant since 2002.
