TADTE will take place in Taipei, Taiwan August 13-16, 2015.
The Idaho Department of Commerce will be sending a team to Taipei, Taiwan for the semi-annual Taipei Aerospace and Defense Technology Exhibition (TADTE) on August 13-16, 2015. Idaho Commerce, along with the Idaho-Asia Trade Office, will participate in the trade show with several Idaho companies that specialize in producing, manufacturing and/or distributing aerospace and defense products and services.
These Idaho companies, collaborating with Idaho Commerce, share the collective goals of promoting aerospace and defense technologies, advocating for our industry and growing our individual businesses.
“Trade initiatives like TADTE reduce friction and lead to productive business relationships,” said Dave Romero of Black Sage Technologies. “Defense and aerospace companies in Idaho and Taiwan stand to benefit from a better understanding of each other's needs, stronger relationships, and more exposure. We’re glad to be part of this."
Idaho’s participation in this show also comes just after the of signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Idaho Department of Commerce and Taiwan’s Industrial Development Bureau of the Ministry of Economic Affairs regarding cooperation in several industries including aerospace. Both Lt. Governor Brad Little and the President of the Idaho Aerospace Alliance, Garry Hojan of Aerocet Inc., also signed as witness to the MOU. Cooperation in aerospace will enable both sides to find partners or potentially even jointly manufacture light airplanes, UAS, and avionics that target the U.S. and the global markets.
