Three new members have been named to the Ketchum Arts Commission—Shannon Daley, operating manager of the Gail Severn Gallery; Courtney Gilbert, curator of visual arts for the Sun Valley Center; and Brennan Rego, owner, publisher and editor of The Weekly Sun. They replace Claudia McCain, Kristin Poole and Gail Severn, all of whom have completed two three-year terms on the Commission.

 

Moscow Mayor Bill Lambert and City Supervisor Gary Riedner joined First Lady Michelle Obama and representatives from the National League of Cities (NLC) and several federal agencies at the White House on September 16 for a celebratory event honoring the achievements made by local elected officials participating in the Let’s Move! Cities, Towns and Counties (LMCTC) initiative. Moscow is one of 500 cities throughout the country that have committed to the five goals in the LMCTC initiative since July 2012.

 

Nampa Police Officer Brad Childers was honored on September 3 with a Life Saving Medal for the actions he took when saving the life of a 2-year-old boy who was found face-down in an outdoor swimming pool this summer.

 

Shelly Enderud, City Administrator for the City of Post Falls, recently received the Credentialed Manager Designation from the International City/County Management Association (ICMA). She is one of over 1,300 local government management professionals currently credentialed through the ICMA Voluntary Credentialing Program.
