AIC Highlights Noteworthy People

Check out noteworthy things being done and honors received by people in Idaho cities around the state.

 

Gov. C.L. “Butch” Otter awarded 2016 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) awards—Public Facilities Awards: City of Bellevue $413,300 for a Wastewater System Improvement Project; City of Buhl $395,850 for a Wastewater & Water Line Improvement Project; City of Hagerman $500,000 for a Wastewater System Improvement Project; City of Nezperce $500,000 for an Emergency Service Facility Project; City of Notus $363,000 for a Wastewater System Improvements Project; City of Pierce $500,000 for a Wastewater System Improvements Project; City of Priest River $500,000 for a Wastewater System Improvements Project; City of Weippe $486,500 for a Wastewater System Improvements Project; Cit of Winchester $500,000 for a Water System Improvements Project; City of Worley $500,000 for a Watewater System Improvements Project; Downtown Revitalization Awards: City of Fairfield $375,000 for a Downtown Revitalization Project; City of Kuna $500,000 for a Downtown Revitalization Project; Senior & Community Center Awards: City of Blackfoot $150,000 for a Senior Center Improvements Project; City of Marsing with the Marsing Senior Center $150,000 for a Senior Center Project; City of Wendell with the Wendell Senior Center $150,000 for a Senior Center Project.

 

Caldwell City Clerk Debbie Geyer has earned the prestigious Certified Municipal Clerk (CMC) designation from the International Institute of Municipal Clerks (IIMC).

 

Hayden City Clerk Vicki Rutherford retired effective May 17, 2016.

 

Abbi Landis was hired as the new Hayden City Clerk.

 

Leadership Boise recognized Meridian Mayor Tammy de Weerd with the 2016 Economic Impact Award for her leadership when it comes to job creation, smart growth/development, and economic improvement in the Boise Valley.

 

Dan Carscallen has resigned from the Moscow City Council for personal and family reasons.

 

Lesly Adams is retiring as the Librarian for the St. Maries Library.
