AIC Deputy Director Leon Duce was recently appointed as City Administrator for the City of Rathdrum, Idaho.
Duce served AIC for nearly 19 years and was responsible for a tremendously diverse portfolio including AIC’s budget and finances, event planning, technical assistance, legislative advocacy, website, video production, energy efficiency and building codes.
“Leon’s outstanding service to the cities of Idaho is greatly appreciated. I wish him the best in his new position,” said AIC President Greg Lanting, Councilmember from Twin Falls. “This is a real loss for AIC, but we are pleased that Leon will remain part of the larger AIC family.”
The Rathdrum City Administrator position opened up when Brett Boyer was hired to work for the City of Hayden.
Leon will be attending the 2016 AIC Annual Conference in Boise as a delegate and looks forward to reconnecting with his many friends around the state.
“It’s been a great privilege to serve the cities of Idaho and I am very thankful for that opportunity,” Duce said.
