Check out noteworthy things done and honors received by cities around Idaho as they work to create quality cities.
The City of Caldwell was awarded $3,000 for its Storytime Kits project by the Together Treasure Valley Partners.
The City of Caldwell has been selected to receive a $15,000 High Five Ambassador Grant from the Blue Cross of Idaho Foundation for Health.
At the recent Idaho Recreation and Parks Association (IRPA) Conference, Idaho Falls Parks and Recreation was recognized with the Outstanding Innovation Program Award for the city’s “Urban Nature Night” program.
Meridian’s Idaho Avenue Placemaking project recently received the Redevelopment Award from Idaho Smart Growth.
The Allstate Foundation donated $14,000 to the Pocatello Fire Department as part of its support for wildfire preparedness in Eastern Idaho. The Department plans to use the funding to kick start a “Junk the Juniper” campaign in the spring of 2017. Through the program, the Department will assist residents living in the wildland/urban interface areas of the city in removing potential fire fuels from their property.
