The Eagle Parks and Recreation Department recently hired its first Recreation Specialist, Caitlin Straubinger. Caitlin was tasked with creating new programs for the Eagle residents to enjoy. The intent is that the programs offered will be revenue neutral and by following the cost recovery methodology the goal is to have the programs have a non-impact to tax payers. Ultimately the programs will be self funding and sustained thus eliminating any potential burdeon on Eagle tax payers. From the cost recovery model, Caitlin created partnerships with local churches, schools, and private entities to bring: youth sports, preschool yoga, Parents’ Night Out, women and co-ed bicycle repair workshops, and children’s camps. She designed, developed and printed the City of Eagle’s first Activity Guide that was mailed to all Eagle residents as well as distributed through local schools.

As the programs, success will continue to increase and Caitlin intends to explore new classes and activities options for the enjoyment of all City of Eagle residents.
