YAY!  TREES!  The last Friday in April each year marks Arbor Day -- a special holiday to celebrate renewable, sustainable TREES.

The Idaho Forest Products Commission (IFPC) is sponsoring a statewide Arbor Day celebration. To honor trees and working forests, IFPC will give away 25,000 seedlings at Home Depots throughout the state on Friday, April 29 and at numerous local community events. We have a colorful new brochure with information about Idaho’s forests and Arbor Day. During the month of April, you may see billboards along Idaho highways and hear or see public service announcements on radio and television featuring Governor C.L. “Butch” Otter and State Forester David Groeschl.  On April 29, the Commission will host the state Arbor Day celebration and tree planting at the State Capitol.  Learn more about Arbor Day and Idaho’s forests at
