Check out noteworthy things being done and honors received by people in Idaho cities around the state.

The City of Ketchum hosted a discussion on solar eclipses on July 29, which featured physicist Brian Jackson, who teaches astronomy at BSU and previously worked at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center in Maryland. Jackson focused on total solar eclipses.

On behalf of the City of Moscow, Mayor Bill Lambert will host the 3rd Annual Mayor’s Golf Tournament on August 11 to benefit Family Promise of the Palouse. The event is designed to create fun and friendly competition to benefit an agency that serves the entire region.

If someone in your community has done something noteworthy or received an honor that you feel should be highlighted in the People section of the newsletter, send the information to GayDawn by e-mail or fax 344-8677.
