Joint Program: LHTAC and ITD

Application is available online.

The Idaho Transportation Department Board and the Local Highway Technical Assistance Council have approved a second round of Children Pedestrian Safety funding for $2M.  The approved funding comes from the $60M of state funds allocated for State and Local Strategic Initiatives and will have an application deadline of December 6, 2018.

The 2019 application for the Children Pedestrian Safety Program is already available on the LHTAC website and is identical to the application from the previous round.  There are no changes to the parameters of the program - the project is limited to $250,000 in award funding with no required match.

As this is a joint program between ITD and LHTAC, the funding targets 60% of the $2M go toward projects on the State highway system and 40% go toward projects on the local road system.

Jurisdictions that received funding through this program in the first round are not eligible to apply for CPS funding for 2019. If you were unsuccessful in obtaining a grant through last year’s application, please contact LHTAC to receive a scoring summary.

Deadline: December 6, 2018.
