AIC Highlights Noteworthy People

Check out noteworthy things being done and honors received by people in Idaho cities around the state.


Bear Prairie, General Manager of Idaho Falls Power has been elected to serve as Chair of the Utah Associated Municipal Power Systems (UAMPS) Carbon Free Power Project (CFPP). He will serve a three-year term.


Idaho Falls City Councilmember John Radford has been appointed to a three-year term as a member of the American Public Power Association’s (APPA) Policy Makers Council.


Melissa Sage and Crystal Estrada with the City of Twin Falls graduated from the Idaho POST Basic Dispatch Academy at the top of their classes.




Former Meridian Mayor Robert “Bob” Corrie passed away on December 10 at the age of 82. Corrie served on the Meridian City Council from 1992 to 1995. He then served two terms as Mayor from 1996 to 2004. Mayor Corrie found great p0ride in serving his community. Mayor Tammy de Weerd said: “Mayor Corrie…was a public servant at heart, who had a great passion for our community – and began to build a foundation for much of what makes Meridian one of the best places in the country to call home.”
