This manual covers the Idaho municipal election law Title 50, Chapter 4 in addition to write-in candidates; qualifications, terms, manner of filling vacancies and salary for elected officials; retention periods for election records and frequently asked questions in order to assist city clerks with their city election duties. Close cooperation and coordination between the city clerk and county clerk's office is required in order for the election process to run smoothly. The duties of each are outlined in the manual.
